Javascript Research

I came across two websites with two different uses of Javascript that I thought I might implement into my website. The first one I came across is the Photo Gallery used on the band U2′s website.

It’s clear, easily accessible, and doesn’t “make me think”.  What I also like is that when you hover over the images, there is a little description that comes up.  Once the image is clicked on, the image enlarges and shows a nice picture, which is the way I want my photo gallery to function.  This is somewhat different than the photo gallery presented in class, but I still think it should not be too hard to create. The next layout, however, I think would be a little more difficult to create but presents a nice and stylish photo gallery.

This comes from a website I came across called Lara Jade photography. I really like the way her photos are presented on her website, but I’m unsure of how it would look on my website.  I like how there is a scroll at the bottom of the page and the images are already taking up the screen, making the task of having to click on the images to enlarge them mundane and useless.

Both of these layouts offer something different to audiences and I think each of them would be enjoyable for others to look at.  While one is simple and clean and easy to navigate through, the other is unique, stylish, and different but still appealing to the eye. I’m having trouble figuring out how to decipher the code.
